I ask your support in voting for me as I seek to succeed the Hon. David Holt as Judge of the Greene Superior Court. I hope to convince you with the information on this website that I am the most qualified candidate for the position.

I have a broad range of legal experience, having worked as an attorney for more than 30 years. I have criminal justice experience that ranges from law enforcement, including working as Chief Deputy Prosecutor under David Holt, to defending individuals accused of offenses ranging from all the way from traffic infractions to capital murder. I have handled countless family law cases, juvenile and child welfare matters, real estate transactions, consumer and contract disputes, probate and estate cases, personal injury, and other civil lawsuits. As an attorney, I have handled virtually every kind of case that might come before the Superior Court Judge.

Throughout my years of legal practice, I have helped promote access to the Courts and provided free legal assistance to clients in conjunction with the Indiana Legal Services Organization, Middle Way House, and the District 10 Pro Bono Project. In 2002, I was honored as the first recipient in Greene County of the District 10 pro bono service award.

I have donated countless hours over more than thirty years working with local community service groups to promote opportunities for Greene County citizens, choosing to focus my efforts on projects that expand opportunities for families and children throughout the county. In the years I served on the board of the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene Library, the Eastern branch was built and the main branch expanded. I was part of the effort to build the Youth Service Bureau into a Boys and Girls Club and expand its services from Bloomfield to Linton. As a director on the board of Habitat for Humanity, I pushed to assure that housing projects would rotate through the county’s different communities. I worked to help complete the board’s first house at Lyons, to build the first Bloomfield house, and on the two houses in the Frank Miller project at Linton.

I have helped the Linton Civitan Club widen its reach by participation with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and greatly expanding the scope of its traditional Clothe-a-Child and Toys for Tots project which typically served 50-100 children in Linton with a budget of a few thousand dollars. It has been my pleasure over the past eight years to assume a major role in developing the advisory board for the Greene County Clothe-a-Child and Toys for Tots Project, which expanded participation to include other organizations. The program now provides benefits in all communities in the county, making sure all of Greene County’s most vulnerable children experience the joys of Christmas. Under the advisory board, the project has grown to serve in each of the last eight years an average of more than 500 children throughout Greene County, with annual expenditures of more than $25,000.

I have demonstrated my commitment to serving the people of Greene County, and hope that you will allow me to continue doing so in a new capacity. Your support and vote for me will be most appreciated.
